Dustin Johnson's "Major" Curse...

Wow. I mean... Wow. I don't want to take away from Martin Kaymer's well-deserved victory, but good-golly-miss-molly~!

How do you explain what happened in the final round at Whistling Straits except for complete disaster?

QUESTION: Could this 2-stroke penalty on Dustin Johnson been prevented if the Rules Officials themselves roped off the bunker or marked it OB in the first place?

ANSWER: Yes.

Why bother having rules officials set up a golf course for a Major Championship if they can't do it right? Blocking off a trap in deemed "in play" is a basic rules official task? No?

As Dustin stepped onto the 18th tee-box with a 1-shot lead, par was all he needed. Dustin blasted his drive WAY left into the "crowd". The lye was stomped and trampled for (most likely) 6 days prior, as practice rounds and regular play rolled through.

After Dustin missed a small put to win the tournament, Martin Wilson, head of the the PGA rules committee, notified Dustin of his error. Good thing Dustin wasn't a crazy woman with PMS!;) He then told the media (after the 2-strokes were made final) that he would take Dustin into the CBS truck to show him a larger image of him grounding the club. Wasn't that nice of Martin? (middle finger up in air).

Dustin knows the roles of golf, that's not the point. Dustin's 18th hole situation needed proper assistance, clearly. A good friend was penalized 2 strokes last year on the Duramed Futures Tour because her dad fell into the bunker while walking alongside her as a "spectator". Her playing-competitor said that her dad was "testing the sand" and called on the Rules Official who concurred. Aside from the fact that the playing-competitor is a giant-beeotch, this situation is in the same family... Spectators don't belong in traps!

So, like... maybe Martin Wilson shoulda taken better control of markings and roping... but it's never "their" fault is it? It is this time! Too bad that Dustin had to take the cake...

Sarah Brown + Conforming PING Wedge = Disqualified? WTF?

Here's the scoop: Sarah Brown, a Duramed Futures Tour Player, was DQ'd because a rules official decided to pull her off the course for using a wedge they "thought" to be non-conforming. Her dad pleading for her to at the least finish her round, (being 3 shots off the lead and about to have her best showing EVER in competitive golf) was denied that right - And then, OOOOOOOOPS!? Sarah's wedge was totally conforming... like, sorry.

Head in my hands and vomit feeling in my tummy...

"We made a mistake," said David Higdon, Chief Communications Officer for the LPGA.

Sarah being the sweet girl that she is, agreed that people make mistakes. Here's the deal Sarah... YOU PAY THE FUTURES TOUR/LPGA so that YOU CAN PLAY PRO GOLF. Knoweldgeable staff is hired to execute a job well-done. This week was a payday and a movement in rankings, and that was taken away, by error.

Zayra Calderon, (CEO of the Duramed Futures Tour) has officially apologized to Sarah for the mistake. Zayra is the same person that noted when I was playing the DFT and on the player board that, playing on the Duramed Futures Tour was not about making a living, it was about learning how to get to the next level, it's a "developmental" tour. Ahhhh yes, Wendy's Chili and rollin' 5-deep at the Knights Inn was a way of life in 2004... :)

Making a living is an issue, especially with what it costs to be out there. Sarah Brown needs a GIANT apology from the LPGA in payment/exemption format of 5K and an entry into 2010 LPGA Qualifying School. A sorry band-aid from Zayra or a media shout-out from Higdon is politically correct, but perhaps not the be-all-end-all. These ladies fight on and off the course to have a slim-chance at success in Women's Golf, there is little to no money to be made in the Futures purses and sponsorships. These ladies find a way to fund their dream that essentially runs a loss and forever remains a gamble. What happened to Sarah was unacceptable.

Women's professional golf has too many hard-working individuals and world-class athletes to have mediocre tour management that make silly errors that not only cost the growth of the tour, but inevitably hold back success of rising stars.

Paula's Comeback is AWESOME!

Pretty in pink, Paula Creamer won the US Women's Open with style, elegance and determination. To be honest, I think she was more shocked than anyone else... She was challenging the top of the leaderboard the whole time!?

Following up with some of my friends and colleagues who played the Open and the ever so fabulous Oakmont Golf & Country Club said the course was difficult and sooooo not friendly! Paula was able to battle and close the deal with a 4-shot victory. Oakmont is Paula's BFF if you ask me!:) It was amazing to see, and this is EXACTLY what the Women's Golf World needs, a cute pink heroin with poise and grace who can deliver results.

Embarassment at it's Peak!

Today I set my alarm to make sure that I had my Starbucks in hand to watch "The Tiger Woods Press Conference" live streaming on TMZ in addition to simultaneous live CNN Coverage on the tube.

I thought it was clever of him to time this the way he did, Accenture got a pinch on the butt-cheeks:)

I then proceeded to work all day and listen to CNN "babble on" and "break down" the "Tiger Woods breaks his Silence Conference". It's still shockingly awkward and uncomfortable to hear the media talk about Tiger Woods and Golf. THE BEST was CNN interviewing Nick Faldo?! WTF?! Hahahaha... that is like taking AA recovery tips from a drunk! How soon we forget how Faldo's ex smashed his beloved Porche with a 7-iron... I am SOOO over this hypocritical mess that is making a mockery of my sport.

I officially feel bad for Tiger, and although he may have "deserved" to be "punished"... Having a porn star who looks like the Wendy's chick "all-grown-up" crying her eyes out talkin' bout how she wants Tiger to apologize to her when he's trying to apologize to the world? How embarrassing!!!

Your 5 minutes of fame is up. Move on ladies...

Who says Golf is getting boring? I like Dustin Johnson, I think that he's a great guy! He seems like a genuine chap. I'm happy he won, despite a seriously awkward ending...? ;p How about that hot & steamy awards presentation where Clint Eastwood and Du-Jo shared the stage;) David Duval making a comeback isn't too shabby to watch either... Nice...

A few years back, Kim Kouwabunpat and I were at the Honda Classic, we were introduced to Dustin through a mutual friend on tour. He "told it like it is", he "kept it real", if that means anything to the ol'folk. Basically, in the first few moments we were talking about sports, music, college, and local hotspots, it wasn't uptight. He didn't have his khakis in a wad;)

There was a rain delay so we got to hang out and talk golf for a bit, he was a rookie on tour at the time. We were explaining what Play Golf Designs http://www.playgolfdesigns.com/ was and told him that we were doing at a PGA Tour event, other than chillin' with bloody mary's;) Funny you should ask Dustin... Basically, at the time we thought it would be cute to advertise with the PGA Tour and waste money. Note to self: Advertise with the PGA Tour during Majors.

I liked that he selflessly asked about Women's Golf and didn't brush it off with what he was going to do on the finishing dog-leg left hole. He cared y'all.

Seeing him win again yesterday made me smile. Dustin Johnson gets a Golf Couture stamp of approval. Good to see the young guns in action, keep it up!

My Take on Tiger

I would have bet Judy Rankin to crap her Depends before Tiger Woods debuted as a 45-minute HOT TOPIC on Nancy Grace last night! Wow. Seriously.

This is TIGER WOODS! The man. The legend. The daddy-mac that "be texin' ho's in different area codes?" Hmmm...

I am the BIGGEST Tiger Woods Fan in the world (and oddly after last night, so is Nancy Grace?). The only other superstar bigger than Tiger Woods is Michael Jackson. What do they have in common? Other than being all over my bedroom walls (blushing), they'll continue to be back-stabbed and lied about by media at any and all costs!

"Da couzin of da' couzin of da man that washed Tiger's Escalade lass Fryday" will come up with some story to sell to media. We ALL will act shocked as each detail emerges! Coincidentally, we ALL reside in a bigoted and intrusive society and all that glitters isn't gold. Does it matter if we know if Tiger is promiscuous or not? Really?

Another vixen has stepped on to the tee-box of cheats and lies. The only thing that this story is helping is that Golf is now cool enough to grace The Cover of US Weekly and National Enquirer! Like, even Graeme McDowell got a shout out on TMZ! Can I getta "waat waat"! Sick Coverage Dude!:)

What's your favorite part of this HOT "F''n MESS? The visual of the actual accident in which Tiger and Elin say it went down, TMZ's crack-addict coverage, or the bizarrely slow-dispatch in the 911 call that I can now hear in my sleep because it is on every channel and website?

My favorite is Rachel Uchitel. She's quoted saying intellectually stimulating things like, "I've never sex-texted in my life!" (fart noise) I feel bad for her if she didn't do anything:( Awwww... Gloria Allred will make betta fo' you:)

THE LESSON LEARNED: The next time you see Tiger (or J-LO) on the tube or in the magz lookin' all "glam and fab"... be grateful that you aren't a hot piece of *** and you don't have millions of dollars from various global corporate entities that people want to steal from you. Smile and take the kids to McDonalds! :) It is a happy place with no painkillers... Just Cheeseburgers, which can take the place of painkillers...

50 Cent is in Lakeland Florida Homies!

Yo check it! So Elena Kurokawa and Grace Woo, former UNLV Running Rebels and current Golf Hotties, were in Lakeland Florida for Duramed Futures Tour Q-school and just wanted to fill their Chevy Cobalt Rental with gas! Little did they know that they were going to bump into the G-Unit Creator/Wangsta himself... 50 CENT!

So Grace spotted him on his cell and immediately informed Elena that it was him. Elena was like "Oh my gosh Gracey, no it's not." To which Grace responded "Yes it is!" and then started screaming. I couldn't help but wonder... What if they were in a Pontiac and drinking Vitamin Water?

So they went over and asked his 5-man entourage if they could have a picture. The one guy, who we now think is head of 50-Cent's "posse", told them "no". He was obviously jealous that 2 hot asian-golfing-goddesses didn't want a picture with him. (LOSER!) Elena and Grace never gave up, "Please. Please. (5 second pause) Why not? Please?" they persisted.

All of a sudden... there was a knock coming from inside the vehicle. (Not the Cobalt, the Yukon) Fiddy was waving them over to his window for a pic! "HIP HIP HOORAY!" Elena and Grace cheered:)
50 was really busy on his phone and didnt have time to chit chat and talk about his next album or nuthin. He just smiled and tickled them like little Pillsbury dough boys!

A Tribute to Michael Jackson: The King

What does Golf have to do with Michael Jackson? For me, a lot! Ask any golfer if Michael Jackson has played a role in their lives, and I'm sure they'll have a story. The sudden death of a King has hit me harder than I'd imagined, he was never supposed to die, not like that. Not without a strong finish...

Sitting in my basement at 3 years old, watching "The making of Thriller" on VHS... over and over. Hugging my knees on the couch, my hands covering my eyes, I'd peek through my fingers to watch. Terrified, I'd run to my parents room in tears, but I couldn't take my eyes off of him, he was mezmorizing, he was Michael Jackson! AND - I was back again the next night for more...

Every album is on my ipod. Every song has a memory and a meaning - a feeling. Over the years, I've practiced multiple hours on the range and ran hundreds of miles with Michael. His music "moves" me... literally. "Jam" on the Dangerous album made me work harder and "Man in the Mirror" made me a better person. Life without Michael would be different in a way that drive and inspiration would be missing.

MJ is my Tiger Woods of music... Exciting, inspiring, mesmerizing, motivating, electric and talent-filled. I can't believe he is gone:(

You were a true gentleman with a soft heart. After all the negative things said, you will remain and leave our world, a kind soul and a legend. I will continue to watch your videos and hopefully one day share them with my children. I will listen to your music when I practice, travel, work, run, play and stay motivated. What's is going Golf Crazies? I've been on the road trying to move mountains therefore, putting the Golf Couture blog to the side:( I feel like, "totally" bad about it, but I am soooo over it - and I think that like, you should get over it too... K?

SO... Let's talk about Tiger. I mean, WTF? The chip-in on 17 last week at the Memorial... Is he real? OMG! By far the 2nd most exciting chip-in, number 1 being the 16th hole at the Masters!!! ...minus the clumsy high-five with Steve-O:) LOL:)As we prepare for the 2009 Men's US Open at Bethpage Black in Bethpage New York... I ask myself... What am I going to wear?

What's that? Oh... yes, I am going. For how long? Oh... the entire week. With who? Professionals from the PGD roster. We are headed out to do a fabulous golf event, and enjoy the sights and sounds of the PGA Tour's finest.

So excited to see Tiger! (I am jumping up and down, screaming with fist pumps) Now that his leg is better I wonder how he is going to "bring it"? With the amount of work I've been doing, I've just fallen off the golf horse, but plan on getting focused and back in the saddle next week. Just like Tiger, I've got my Bethpage Game Face on!!!

I didn't wanna open my big mouth since that Time interview, so I had to let C-Biv take the mic first. I still haven't really honed in on my "twittering" skillz, but I understand the value of twitter on a social networking level... BUT - The idea to use it in a professional sport where you are supposed to stay focused? Hmmmm, not so much.

So like, are we gonna hear from Kobe now during time-outs in the playoffs? Never. Because...

The fact is, there is a line between fans and athletes that creates the "illusion and elite depth" of an athlete by the fan. Sure I'd like to hear from Christina Kim during her round, but at the cost of not taking her seriously! Athletes don't use their cell phones during competition or practice!!! Come on! Athough it may increase "fan engagement", it will cost them legitimacy in the sportsworld.

It is disrespectful if while watching an athlete to see him/her bust out the blackberry and text (twitter) the world during a game. This ain't social hour ladies...

Tiger's Trauma ain't that Bad!

Geeeeeeeeeeez. The golf media needs to chill out dude! So Tiger didn't shoot 65 and make multiple eagles and give us the usual spectacular performance... neither did Cejka. Bad final round golf opened the door for Stenson to close the deal... although with -6 in the final round at TPC Sawgrass, you kinda kick the door open your-damn-self! Good Job Stenson, happy for you and Sweden buddy! Xo.

Note to Media: Tiger will snap out of it, it's called GOLF! "I kept spinning it to the right..." says Tiger, "but I got plenty of time to fix it." O'Hair was schooled by Tiger a few weeks ago and came back with a strong win soon after. Cejka will take this and run with it. You gotta fall so you know how to get up. Simple rule of life, business, relationships and golf. Is it me or is anyone else feeling Kelly Tilghman overload? Her hair looks good though:)!

Natalie Gulbis couldn't be at the Celebrity Apprentice finale:( She played well this week with a -9 finish at the Michelob in Virginia... but nobody is paying attention to that because the world revolves around Tiger...

Obviously, I know I am not the only one feeling lost and distraught? As much as I want to lay off and give him room... I want my Tiger back...

During the Nuggets and New Orleans NBA Playoff game last night, I saw the Tiger Woods Cartoon Commerical! So adorably adorable!!!:) After the Masters, it is hard to stay focused on golf!? I mean, seriously... It's NBA Playoffs... but it is good to see that the "Tiger Brand" has some good positioning! Tiger is so fabulous... Check it out!

Masters Weekend or Easter Weekend?

Good Easter to you! Just kicking back and figuring out how to use the whole "Twitter" deal while "Facebooking", watching the Masters, typing, talking on the phone and doing cartwheels;)

I'm going to hide Easter Eggs around the house where it is impossible to find them... and invite Jeev Milkha Singh over to find them because he ruined my Masters Pool by missing the cut and I thought he had a legitimate chance of taking home a green jacket. Jim Furyk is my runner-up, but Tiger is my #1.

SO... I know it's Easter... but why the heck am I really more excited about the Masters? Who timed this? Phil and Tiger are going to put on a show, and I am going to put on my fat pants (sweatpants) and eat my way through the day. Who's with me?

2009 Playboy Golf & Mansion

Hi Everyone! My fabulous sister, Seema, and I went to the 2009 Playboy Golf Finals in Los Angeles this past weekend. 'Twas a hoot and a holla!:) Disappointed that we missed out on Tiger's fierce victory at Bay Hill, we decided that we will make it up to him during the Masters! With all do respect, it's hard to focus on golf when it's March Madness and The Playboy Golf Finals!!!

The event was at Industry Hills Country Club, 2 courses, Ike and the Babe! Sick views and in great shape:) The minute we got there, Seema ran into the man of her dreams... Miles Austin, the Wide Reciever for the Dallas Cowboys. She was thrilled, and rightfully so! What a cutie-pah-tootie:)

Here is a shot of our group in the scramble. We played in 6-somes and our group was in the lead after the first day... -20 under par Sugar!!! Beat that! Our group rocked and playing from the red tees has its advantages;)

Lil'sis trying to hit it closer than Big sis... Sibling Rivalry... but we're on the same team...? Whatevs;)

The highlight of the round was hitting balls with Jose Canseco, who actually designs his own golf outfits:) How awesome is that?

We all know that Annika is pregnant and Phil Mickelson won at Doral... but let's be honest Golf Groupies, it's MARCH MADNESS up in here!!! ;)

Golf Couture has selected the "hottest" player on the PGA Tour in the month of March and requested his "Final Four" NCAA March Madness Basketball Picks! With back-to-back solid runner-up finishes at the Puerto Rico Open and Transitions Championship, Brett Quigley is our "Mr. March" pick!

Brett Quigley: "I have to go with all four number 1 seeds; UNC, UConn, Pittsburgh and Louisville, they've all been playing well and they're looking solid, so I expect them to all move into the final four."

When asked who B-Quigs thinks will win the national title? He picked UNC to take it all! Brett was a former South Carolina Gamecock, and feels he should stay close to home...

What you don't know... Devon Quigley (cousin of Brett) got a phone call from Brett asking him to come kick-it-with-cuz in Puerto Rico. Ummmmm... sure!?!!? Devon caddied for Brett in Puerto Rico for the first time, and left him on a HOT streak! WootWoot!

Devon Quigley: "Brett's a solid player especially when he's relaxed. He hit it great in Puerto Rico and made a great putt on 18 to tie for the lead. When we're on the course we talk about basketball, the Red Sox, and when we approach the shot, we deal with it, and then go back to just talking. Brett is 15 years older, but our personalities click, we're family."

Could Devon be Brett's lucky star? He got Brett feelin' the vibe in Puerto Rico? Devon definitely bestows a calming effect... In fact, I watched some March Madness games with him this weekend in Vegas and we were on a roll! So like, could that luck have been passed on to me? If so, I'm takin' my chances... So like, how do you get to a golf tournament? There are several different ways... rental car, airplane, your own car, bus, scooter? Who really cares how you get there... basically I got an email from someone, who knew someone, that knew someone that lives in Miami and saw Tiger's Yacht parked outside from their condo front and center... HOT. This week Tiger tees it up at Doral for the CA World Golf Championships and we are looking forward to a first-class performance from T-Dub. So exciting!

Hey Kids! Our good friend Andrew Magee over at the Golf Channel was doin' a little commentating at the FBR in PHX. To clarify... the tournament where all the college kids get "drunk n' rowdy" and apparently... wear inappropriate T-shirts with cool statements on them!

While "shootin' the golf breeze" and putting the Golf Channel audience in a semi-coma during yet another broadcast, Andrew says to Gary McCord that he sees a t-shirt that reads "I got kicked out of the Boy Scouts for eating a Brownie." (Hahahaha! Good find Andrew! Almost wanna take you to the flea market with me!)

Yahoo Sports' "Devil Ball Golf's" Jay Busbee says: "Why do we assume it's a sexually suggestive remark? Could be about cannibalism, not that that's any better."

A dream come true for a young man from Northern Ireland only 19 years old. The youngest player EVER to win on the European Tour with his victory at the Dubai Desert Classic. Currently at 16th in the World Rankings, look out world, it's Rory McIlroy! "I think I have to reassess my goals now," McIlroy said. "But I go into every week with the same mind-set. ... As long as I do that, I am happy.

Turning Pro on September 19, 2007, this young man took it deep at the British Open at Carnoustie where he was T-3 after a solid first round of 68... and finished up nicely placing T-42.

I think we have a lot to look forward to from this young man, he's just the energy and inspiration men's golf needs right now! Superb Golf and an Irish accent;) Sweet.

Ashley Prange's Bachelorette

This past weekend was dedicated to celebrating Ashley Prange's recent engagement to Mr. Brian Snyder (a handsome and strapping up and coming Major League Baseball Star!) It was a wonderful time in Las Vegas with fellow golf-mates from the LPGA and the Duramed Futures Tour. Attendettes included LPGA Rookie Jessica Shepley, Futures Tour players current and former, Seema Sadekar, Amber Prange, Ashley Gomes, Brenda McClarnon and some of Ashley's cutest and closest buds! FYI, The lovely and hilarious Brenda McLarnon will also be making her TV debut on the Golf Channel's PEI: Big Break in May.

Totally the Best Part: The Bachelorette Party had coincidentally tied in the same weekend as the of the 2009 Miss America Pageant Competition, so everywhere we went with our "Bachelorette Sashes" (seen above) - people thought we were apart of it ...and we went right along with the notoriety;)

A hero on so many levels, he took the stage yesterday during the "We are One" concert outside the Lincoln Memorial, alongside several other notable figures for Barack Obama's long-awaited Inauguration.

Associated Press: Woods has been as apolitical as they come, keeping his views firmly to himself during his rise to become the world's top golfer. It was only after Obama's election in November that Woods expressed his excitement over "a person of color in the White House."

"I am the son of a man who dedicated his life to his country, family and the military, and I'm a better person for it," Woods said referring to his late father, Earl Woods, who did two tours during the Vietnam War with the U.S. Army Special Forces, "always stand by and support the men and women in uniform and their families."

I wonder if Barack and Tiger had some time to tee-it-up at Congresssional Country Club, where Tiger hosts the AT& T National, a new PGA Tour event in July in Bethesda Maryland, just outside of DC? .....Wouldn't it be fun to play in a threesome with Tiger and Barack? Two of my all time faves!

Congrats to Annika Sorenstam for getting married to long-time "BF" (slang for boyfriend/signifigant other) and somewhat of a manager of her brand and products, Mr. Mike McGee! How cute and wonderful!!!

She obviously looked drop-dead gorgeous - the most beautiful I've ever seen Annika look! Even though she hasn't been swinging the clubs, it looks as though she is still pumping iron in the gym! Go ahead girlfriend! Practicing for Dancing with Stars huh? I have this hunch?

The Honeymoon: A ski trip. Perfect, she gets to leave the clubs at home and bring only sweaters and cocoa:) Her and Mike are going to cuddle up by a warm fire on a furry rug in a Colassal Christmas Cabin made of maple wood and cherry oak... I'm guessing:)

Las Vegas, the overdramatic and overhyped city of Sin played host to Natalie Gulbis's underpromoted 26th Open Birthday Party. Hosted at Blush, the "lounge/nightclub" at the Wynn Hotel, Natalie looked gorgeous as usual, and mingled with everyone while texting and frequently checking the BlackBerry! Birthday girl was blowin' up!

Seeing as there was a very small turnout, most of which were local media goobers - she (or her PR peeps) probably should've started handing out these promo-card-bad-boys a bit sooner. But sometimes quaint and quiet parties do the trick...

Lewis, Wie, Rawson enter the Big Leagues

For all the Michelle Wie haters, Wie has now secured her spot on the 2009 LPGA Tour. Whether they realize it - this is the most amazing thing to happen to Womens Golf in a LONG time. Wie has answered her critics, and most importantly, proved something to herself.

Golf Couture is thankful that Wie was able to take correct lateral drops during competition while managing to sign her scorecard after her round all 5 days of Q-School - Whew! That was the biggest hurdle for her, trust me... qualifying was a no brainer for Wie.

Stacey Lewis, the University of Arkansas step-up, finished medalist at Q-School and topped Wie by six shots, finishing at -18 under par. Lewis won the 2007 NCAA Championships as an individual and never looked back.

Recently signing a deal with Mizuno, Lewis said, "I've used Mizuno clubs ever since my freshman year at Arkansas and have enjoyed success with them throughout my collegiate career,” said Lewis. “As a professional, there was really no reason to play any other club. I'm looking forward to a long and successful partnership with Mizuno."

Anna Rawson, one of our personal faves here at Golf Couture;) - earned her card with a T-12 finish at -8 under par. The LPGA should be truly thanking their lucky stars for this! She will bring coolness, fashion, sexy and hotness onto the course with a graceful elegance. A pre-2009 THANK YOU ANNA:)

Annika Go Bye Bye

Well Forks, we've come to an end of an era... we say goodbye to Annika Sorenstam. She single handedly took Women's Golf and made it recognizabe and exciting!

Aside from the 8 LPGA player of the year titles, the only woman to shoot 59 in a competitive round, being 1 of 6 players to achieve the women's career Grand Slam, and being the first woman in 58 years to compete on the PGA Tour (2003 Bank of America Colonial), you can't help but feel a simple and genuine connection with her.

On http://www.lpga.com/ they created a "Quick 18 with Annika Sorenstam" interview, and we were there to give our 2 cents!

LPGA: What is your biggest pet peeve?
Annika: People driving slowly in the left lane.
Golf Couture: Me too! How bout just people picking their nose and driving slow? Geez!

LPGA: What is your favorite store to shop in?
Annika: I'm not much for clothes shopping and things of that nature, so I'll say Whole Foods or Fresh Market for groceries.
Golf Couture: Annika darling, we all know that you picked up a better short game in trade for your fashion sense, it is no mystery. I got your back with Whole Foods girlfriend!

LPGA: If you could be on a reality TV show which one would you choose?

JD Hooters Overload

Whoops-a-Daly! John Daly had a bit too much to drink at the ever classy "Hooters" establishment in Salem, North Carolina.

AOL Sports: Daly was held in custody Sunday after police said he was drunk off his arse in a Winston-Salem, NC restaurant.(Hooters)

Police officers were called at 2:17 a.m. to the Hooters at 120 Hanes Square Circle on a medical call. When officers arrived, Daly, who had earlier lost consciousness, was being treated by EMS. Daly "appeared extremely intoxicated and uncooperative," police stated in a news release. Daly refused to be escorted to the hospital and was eventually asked to leave the restaurant by workers there.
JD clearly has some issues that he must deal with. He should give good ol' Britney Spears a ring-a-ling and ask for some rehab advice. Even Britney can't believe that JD is still throwin' down like he's a 24 year-old pop star! Daly is 42 years old (not 24) and has some work to do. Rumor has it he was selling his signed knick-knacks for some quick cash... yikes, even Brit wouldn't go there!

Today at the Post Office, I paid $46.57 to send a 3-page client contract and image CD to Miami within a 48-hour period. It made me wonder...

Am I paying ungodly mailing amounts so that FedEx can sponsor the PGA Tour in the most absurd fashion? In the last 2 years, FedEx Cup Winners have been established before year end... at my expense?

I'd like to meet the Fed-Einstein that came up with the FedEx Cup Concept, Was he on his 5th Kettle-Tonic when he thought he'd come up with something better than The Bullet Blender? 20-Milli (plus all the bells and whistles) is a lot to clear for a "not so great" idea that has failed back2back on the PGA Tour.

I think that Fed Ex owes me an apology: I don't want a ring like Kobe gave Vanessa after he came back from Colorado!

LPGA's Hwanhee Lee was on her way to church last week with her parents, going about her routine Sunday prayers. "Make me a good person and give me the ability to golf like Tiger Woods." She'd just returned to Vegas (where she resides) from LA, and was preparing for Q-School. Randall Cunningham (former UNLV Football and NFL legend), church leader, asked everyone in attendance to turn to their neighbor and give them a "hug":)

Hwanhee turned to her father on her right, embracing him with love. She hugged the lady with frizzy hair in front... and to her left she embraced OJ Simpson! Hwanhee called me immediately to tell me the breaking news! She was all, "Holy crap, I just hugged OJ Simpson in church! He is shrinking." I was all, "OMG HWANHEE?!" OJ in Church? What was he askin' fo'? After the service was over, people were staring and wondering what he was doing there? Hwanhee could hear the whispers of mass confusion around her.

1. Wear a "slimmer" (not smaller) fitting short. It will prevent the "riding up" and shape the fit of your shorts.
2. Buy items with a Lycra %. Lycra helps cling to the body so everything is held in place. Use it, but pleeeeease don't abuse it!
3. Don't be afraid of "Pants" or "Capri's". They're your friends when you're having those "not so great" weeks, like after Christmas, Thanksgiving or Easter.
4. "Squats and Sprints". This step is "self explanatory":)
5. "The Skort" is the Number 1 Solution to ending all camel toes of all shapes and sizes. It is safe, sexy and performable.

Associated Press: California State Senator, Leland Yee is questioning whether the extremely annoying, tactful, yet miserable new LPGA policy is breaking any laws or is violating basic discrimination policies in the workplace.

Good News for the LPGA and the new policy isn't coming easy. Yikes... How is Carolyn Bivens sleeping at night? As if the LPGA needs any more drama now. This situation puts the LPGA on the D-List.

Golf Channel: "If the lawyers see a possible federal violation, Yee said he will turn that finding over to California’s congressional delegation." Geeeeeez. Whatever that means, it sounds serious:( I'll keep it simple for you...

The LPGA is like J-Lo's career: J-Lo moved from D-List to A-list with bad decisions followed by good ones! Great songs, jaw-dropping videos, unique fashion styles, amazing choreography and catchy beats... This is just a "P.Diddy" after party gone bad or a "Gigli" performance by the LPGA. CBS Sports' Chuck Stogal discusses CROCS latest and greatest "Croc Golf Shoe" or as I like to call 'em "The Ugliest Golf Footwear Collection in the World".

Stogal reports that the Croc Golf Sandal was, "...cited for comfort, stability and, with a suggested retail price of $39.99, for 'tremendous value'" based on a CBS experiment study of a variety of golfers. (Alrighteeee then, sigh...)

Once again folks, we must decide whether "tremendous value" prevails against looking like a "jacka** monkey" on the golf course. We must review the basic rules.

The 5 "unspoken" truths of Golf Sandals:

Rule #1: You will lose at least 10 golfing buddies within the first week of purchase

Rule #2: You will lose a minimum of 5 sales deals (which you could've closed by spending $30.00 more on lower end basic Nike golf shoes)

Rule #3: You are accepting a minimum 5-shot penalty for that particular round and several future mental distractions

Rule #4: Girls (golf staff, even the chipmunks) will think you are:

Stars like K-Fed, Heather Locklear, and American Idol's Taylor Hicks are holding on to what's left of their sanity/celebrity via the glorious game of golf. You see, it so much more than just a game.

I heart Halle Berry because we share the same admiration for Barack Obama:) A victim herself, I also admire Halle Berry for having her own golf tournament to raise awareness for victims of domestic violence.

Poor Golf:( No Olympics for you! Maybe in 2016? I'm taking a shot in the dark here when I say there are probably more "runners" and "gymnasts" than "golfers" around the globe - but isn't every golf tournament like Golf Olympics?

On the tee from America, Tiger Woooooods!!! ... On the tee from Canada, Mike Weeeeeir!!! ...

The Ryder Cup and The Presidents Cup would have to give birth to The Olympic Cup... I'm not a genius, (but sometimes I think I am, because I can put together a kick-a** outfit and do my hair in like, 15 mins) but I'm reading golf writers bash the Beijing Olympics for denying golf.

Note: What's the diff? It's not everyday you see beach volleyball and the 400 meter dash on NBC Prime Time with 5-hour coverage. Let random sports that don't have a shot in hell of making "year-round weekend coverage" get the spotlight for 2-3 weeks, once every 4 years.

I could never have enough "Retief Goosen" in my life, but he can take a backseat to "Michael Phelps'" butterfly for a week or two;) How else am I gonna Spice Up MY Sports Life"? ;)

There are smiles but very few words exchanged over the next five and a half hours after which the men scratch their heads and wonder why their foursome paid $10,000 for little or no conversation. First of all - Play Golf Designs Inc. is a fix to that problem, like 2 years ago:) Hewitt and the rest of the golf world is reporting that the LPGA is cracking down on foreigners not being able to communicate with the media/sponsors/yadayada in English. LPGA called a mandatory meeting last Wednesday to discuss the 411 (code word for info) of this policy.

Note 1: LPGA consists of 121 international players from 26 countries, including 45 players from South Korea.
Note 2: LPGA is denying that this is a stunt to maintain and salvage sponsors in a struggling ecomomy, saying that they are stronger than before. Come on!
Note to LPGA: Hello? If you are going to make a "policy" then at least justify it - or you are leaving room for speculation. These 121 players are your bread and butter... obviously, or you wouldn't put a "policy" in order.

They should have announced a Glorious"5-Star English Program" designed specifically for all foriegn players, endorsed by Rosetta Stone... Rumor has it that players are going to have to start taking a test to pass ... or else...

In other news, here is what is interesting to me: Kim Kardashian is going to be on next seasons' "Dancing with the Stars". I think Annika should do it next season since she is going to put to stix up for a bit. It would be good for the game:)

Evolution of Golf Fashion 101

Yves Saint Laurent, legendary fashion designer and icon said it best when he felt that, “Fashion was not only supposed to make women beautiful, but to reassure them, to give them confidence, to allow them to come to terms with themselves."

For the life of me I can’t imagine coming to terms with myself in pleated khakis, no matter how well I’m striking the ball. Say “bye-bye” to “pleated khakis”, the “scrunchie syndrome” and “high-collared” oversized “dumpy” golf shirts. Not cool folks. Not cool for even 2 seconds.

You see, golf fashion (and I use the term “fashion” loosely) is coming into its own. Sure - it fluctuated with Easter colored golf shirts for the past few years... but its development has evolved in the last 2 years.

Perhaps it's the young /energetic women blasting on tour straight out of high school or college making golf less pretentious?

So I am sure that you have heard that Luke Donald, The English Cutie, is out for the rest of the season due to a wrist injury. Tiger's "goodbye" was more dominant than Luke's "goodbye", but that goes without saying. I like Luke, he seems like a strapping wholesome Mizuno-Royal Bank of Scotland kinda guy;) A graduate of Northwestern University in Chicago he still carries his English accent well...So we drop 2 Ryder Cup Cuties: Tiger (America) & Luke (Europe), so I guess that would make the Ryder Cup Teams "all square" in terms of "Loss of Hotties". Should we let Zinger know about this? Could it change the Captain's picks?

According to the Ottawa Sun, a Canadian newspaper, Natalie Gulbis gave Christie Kerr "The Sexiest Golfer" Title. Ummmmm... No.

As much as I like Christie Kerr and her super-cocky-'tude - I'm not sure she can claim that title. Kerr has earned a "sexy golfer" role - "Respek" -Ali G - No doubt she's cute... but sexiest? One of the sexiest?

It's no secret that Christie and Natalie are like, total BFF's (best friends forever). BFF's have to give BFF's "shout outs", but friendship aside...

Note to Natalie: Obviously you can't tell the media that YOU are the sexiest, so the humble/cordial thing to do is claim your BFF.

I think that in a head-to-head match in terms of "sexy" Christie Kerr would lose to SEVERAL LPGA ladies... that's just me, and I am usually right all of the time. Just ask me...

Sorenstam Questions Wie

Annika Sorenstam, arguably the most well-respected and well-known female golfer worldwide, questioned Michelle Wie's decision to tee-it-up with the big dogs on the PGA Tour and opting out of the Women's British Open qualifier.

According to the Globe & Mail: "I really don't know why Michelle continues to do this," Sorenstam told reporters at the British Open. "We have a major this week and, if you can't qualify for a major, I don't see any reason why you should play with the men. We all have different agendas in life."

Note to Annika: 'Sup Annika, point well taken, different agenda indeed... You see, firstly, the trip to Reno is much closer than Europe. I am guessing the appearance deal (if any) was fairly lucrative and with full Golf Channel coverage, Michelle can keep her sponsors smiling all weekend, giving them all the more reason to sip on some cognac. Lastly, she "continues" to do this because she wants to actually be the first female professional to actually make a cut on the PGA Tour.

Controversy (Michelle Wie) is good for the women's tour (and the men's tour:), it keeps fans and media on their toes. Wie gives us something to talk about while Tiger is resting and rehabilitating until 2009. I heard that he is starting to ride his exercise bike in 3 daily segments... Borrrrrrringggggg... I'd rather hear more Smack-Talk about Michelle... keep it comin'!

Sergio Garcia is the official face of Adidas-Taylor-Made and now also the official face of losing a major to Padraig Harrington. Consistant play throughout the tournament put Garcia in good position today for a strong final round at the 2008 PGA Championship.

Coming out of the gate strong, Garcia missed an opportunity to match Harrington's birdie on the Par 3 17th-Hole after sticking it closer. Dressed in all black and looking as snazzy as I've ever seen him, Garcia had a good chance to show Harrington who's da boss... but didn't... again. (British Open Flashbacks)

Garcia is just what the game needs, a little spicy and a little sexy and most importantly, he can draw the crowds. A great final round 68 from Garcia versus a gutsy 66 from Harrington made the difference in the day. Close, but no cigar:(

I was going through my emails and I got my weekly Golf Channel email blast with a headline saying that Kenny Perry had pulled out of the PGA with an eye injury. (ok... so what else is going on?) As I scanned deeper into the email I find an article heading "Illness, break-up affecting Scott" - OMG!

According to the New York Times: “It’s a very difficult thing, a major lifestyle change,” Scott said about the breakup. “When you are sharing homes for seven years, it has a big effect.”

That's part of the whole thing: You're just a slave that week." - Hunter Mahan in regards to the post-shinannigans at the Ryder Cup.

Who knew? Eating giant 5 course elegant dinners amongst a selection of premier corporate sponsors and the best golf professionals in the world is noted as being perpetual torture for Hunter Mahan. This young man, at the ripe age of 26, has learned that the media will chew you up and spit you out. Will Ryder Cup Captain Paul Azinger bring Mahan aboard the the slavery train to Europe as a Captain's pick?

We are all aware that the "entertainment bit" where professionals are obliged to endure a mixture of pro-ams, banquets, conversations and socials with sponsors, volunteers and event committee members is necessary.

Note to Mahan: The fact remains that they are the people that make this "tournament stuff" possible, simple.

Although Hunter was a bit "amateur" in his Ryder Cup comments, he spoke the truth. Athletes don't speak the truth, they just tell the media what they need to hear so that important corporate people can walk around in blazers and smoke cigars. I feel for Hunter, he made an honest mistake. From now on, he should lie to the media and say that the after parties are cool and highly anticipated even though he really doesn't feel that way.

OMG! How can this be? Forgetting to sign her scorecard is Michelle Wie?

Just when the most talented and criticized player in the game is about to have a giant comeback and slap the world in the face with her first LPGA Win - She gets Dairy Queened (disqualified). I'd prefer to focus on 2nd year LPGA player Ji Young Oh's first victory, or the exquisite Anna Rawson's final round of 66 - but I am left dwelling on "Michelle's Mistake".

Wie doesn't sign her scorecard after Friday's round, where she's 1 off the lead. She steps outside the "scoring area" and is signing autographs for fans, until the "scorers" realize that she hasn't signed her scorecard. She gets the DQ news after a brilliant 67 (5-under) round on Saturday finishing at 17-under, just 1 shot back of Yani Tseung (2008 LPGA McDonalds Champion).

Hmmmmm.... Do I dare ask: What if the LPGA disqualified Wie on Friday? Would that have changed ticket sales for Sunday? Could it have effected the weekend hype going into Saturday? Or did the LPGA really need a full day to analyze the exact details and precise series of events all day Saturday while Wie put on a "free" phenominal display of golf?

I got wind of the DQ instantly on a flashing ESPN bulletin and told myself "NO" 27 times while pacing the room with my sidekick in one hand and diet coke in the other.

Was the situation pushed beyond its limit to hype the event and the LPGA by way of exposing Wie? (once again)

Yes, Michelle didn't sign her scorecard (on FRIDAY), but I question the reasoning of her completion and participation in Saturday's round, and that's just me.

Butch "Drama" Harmon

Professional athletes go through rough phases with "Coach". As a coach, you've got to be able to communicate with your player, period. Mr. Harmon avoids confrontation by causing drama and taking cheap shots. Harmon recently broke news to Daly - via media, (aka - I'm too much of a high-school mean girl to say it to your face) that he would not be working with him anymore and layed assumed personal matters on the media buffet table. Rule 1#: Don't talk smack about your player:)
Here's a quick golf tip for Butch:

Put the Bushnell's in your locker, stay after school and take an extra credit class on the basic "Fundamentals" of respect from the guidance councelor.

If Butch had a problem with JD, he should've told him to his face. John's had some issues, haven't we all? Don't run your players' names through the dirt. (telephone ring) Ummm... Hello Butch? Is anyone home? Don't forget who's helping you butter your bread, k? If I was Daly, I would roll gangsta too and issue a public warning for Butch "Drama" Harmon (aka chatty cathy) to stay as far away as possible. As a professional you've got to feel for John, we've all experienced a fall-out with a coach or a mentor - not fun. If Butch really "cared" about John he could have consoled him privately versus shrewdly exposing him. This is worse than Madonna denying A-Rod on ESPN! There is no escaping it... You feel me? So what if you got Adam & Phil - You lost Tiger and pi**ed off John! TEAM DALY.

The Golf Sandal: Trend or Tradgedy

The Golf Sandal has been a moderate trend among women for the past 10 years. If you are a man (you are not off the hook ladies!) and have a pair of "golf sandals", might I suggest reevaluating your golf goals. The actual "golf sandal" is an oxymoron, much like a "basketball sandal" or a "soccer slipper" - it is not performance gear. You are subliminally accepting a 5-shot penalty when stepping on the first tee wearing "golf sandals". Kobe would never step on the court (even in practice) ready to play in sandals, neither would Tiger.

I hate to be the one to break this to those of you who "rock" them, but REAL golfers don't wear "golf sandals". You are breaking over 50 fashion rules and desperately crying out for help. They are the farthest thing from "cool", and even further distance your chances for "breaking the course record".

FACT: As you are hitting a few practice putts on the ol' putting green around the first tee, people are actually laughing at you through the window of the golf shop. Don't let yourself be a victim of the golf sandal.

Adam Scott. Wow. He's pretty nifty on and off the course. The sexy-stubble and sideway smile is a plus, making the "tall, dark and handsome package" especially appealing...

I'd like to tip my beret to Adam Scott and his endorsement deal with Burberry Golf. They are trendy, classy and they have found their guy. Adam always looks crisp on the course, and we have Burberry to thank.

I remember being in a high-end pro shop and trying on a pair of size 4 Burberry pants. The fit was very small, I could barely get them over my a**. The Burberry fit is slightly smaller than the average fit, FYI.

Recently nominated as Golf Channel's Sexiest Golf Professional, I speak for all the ladies when I say that he should venture into a Burberry photo spread with less clothing. As they say in marketing, "less is more".

Michelle Wie's "Clothing Game"

We all had our doubts about Michelle Wie playing in the Women's US Open, blah blah blah. Still, out of the endless amounts of blow-up qualifiers, she made it through and earned her right to be there. Not by fluke either, she carded rounds of 70 & 67, on 2 different courses on the same day. The final qualifier is 36 holes, so lets not point fingers just yet. Aside from the 9 (whoooops) she made during the first round, she played average. I know we expect alot from her and I am sure she does the same.

Whatever we may say, Michelle Wie is gifted and always looks super. Her body is perfect for any fit, and I would personally like to thank her for wearing extra short skirts last year. She brought "tight" clothing onto the scene with a bang. Thank you Michelle:) You have allowed women everywhere to take a deep breath, put down the pleated khakis... and throw on a bright n' tight short skort (skirt + short = skort) with any golf top.

Kudos to Nike for helping to break the boring "golf bottoms" mold. She even makes the "not so cute" Nike outfits (and there are plenty of them) look cute. I am totally TEAM MICHELLE, it has to be hard having the shameless media build you up and break you down repeatedly.

Here's the Deal: She's young, she's cute, she's rich and the world wants to watch her play... whether she plays well or falls apart. She always looks beautiful and definately has a bright n' promising future. You know what they say, "They may call me names, but at least they call me!"
